At ACTION, a turnkey dewatering scope covers the job from ground investigation to handover. Before work starts, ACTION’s engineers and hydrogeologists review the soil data, run permeability and pumping tests, model the groundwater, assess settlement risk to nearby structures and set out the system in a documented method statement. ACTION then supplies the equipment from its own fleet and engineering workshop, installs and commissions the system, and designs in standby pumping capacity so that a single pump failure does not stop the flow. Crews operate and maintain the system for as long as the works need it, and pumped water passes through sediment control and, where required, treatment to meet the conditions of the discharge permit. On connected assets, AURA (ACTION Unified Real-Time Assurance) reads groundwater levels, discharge flow, pump status and fuel against limits set by ACTION’s engineers, so issues are predicted and prevented before they affect the works. At close-out, ACTION decommissions the system, removes the equipment and hands over the records.
