ZADCO South Island - Sea Water Supply for Drilling Operations
This scope involved the supply and operation of a water winning system on the South Island. The system was installed and commissioned in line with HLG guidelines. The system was designed by ACTION and ACTION technicians and operators were used for the duration of the project.
Action installed two centrifugal pumps and three submersible pumps, alongside a break tank, pipe network, and associated fittings. The pump units were configured to allow any of the pumps to operate simultaneously as required. The maximum flow requirement reached circa 4,000 gpm, with pumping operations carried out over 24 hour periods. The project operated for a period over 1 year, which involved routine mainatnence and pump replacement with no downtime.
